StrangeSaver 1.5 Unreal Minisaver Readme

Hi. Welcome to the readme for the Strange Company Strangesaver- Unreal version. This program will function as a Windows 95 screensaver, and when called will run an Unreal map (normally a flyby) as a looping screensaver.

Installation:

1) Unzip the file "Strangesaver -Unreal Version.scr" into your Windows directory.

3) Go to your Display Properties in Win95/98 and install "Strangesaver- Unreal Version" from the options list. Hit "Settings" and fill in the settings there.

5) The StrangeSaver should now work.

Supported Games:

This minisaver only runs Unreal maps.

About the StrangeSaver

If you find any bugs, please report them to strangecompany@nomad.easynet.co.uk. This is version 1.5 of the screensaver: version 2.0, with support for Quake, Quake II, Quake III, Half-Life and many other games should have been distributed with this package.

Notes:

- The Strangesaver is currently unstable under Win98 Second Edition. We're not sure why- if you have any ideas, email us.

Revision History:

Version 1.5: Test version, released as Unreal Minisaver.

Version 1.3: Internal only, tidied up configuration, condensed into one file.

version 1.0: Current version. Added user customisability, Quake and Half-Life support.

Version 0.9 Beta version

Future Plans:

We'd like to integrate Unreal demos into the main StrangeSaver: if anyone can tell me how to run a looping Unreal demo from the command line, email me.
